BE THANKFUL TO YOURSELF

What are we thankful for? When we are asked this question we usually say family, friends, good health, a job, a roof over our heads, food on the table. Everything that surrounds us, everything we have in our lives that make us value our existence all the more. But let me ask you, have you ever thanked yourself? Have you ever been thankful for who you are? I believe we should not overlook the fact that we, ourselves are the reason we have gotten this far in life. We have the ability to do the things we love and live our lives with joy. Our bodies enable us to do all these things. The way that our bodies work is a beautiful and magical concept that should be appreciated more than it is.
That said, I invite you to be thankful to your body and what it enables you to do during class today. And maybe, make it a habit to tell yourself one thing each morning that you wake up that you are thankful for about yourself in order to feel tranquility and peace of self enter your life. You will then cease to question yourself and live a life of constant appreciation and gratitude for all that you can do and for all that you are.
