Yoga One-on-One

I am convinced that when you start practicing yoga and meditation, you are inviting major changes to come into your life. Maybe yoga alters or elevates your lifestyle in ways you never thought possible. Maybe it gives you a sense of peace and calm to your normally long and stressful days. Or maybe you are looking for a fitness regimen that allows you to discover your physical potential or strength you never thought was there. Whatever your reasons are, a yoga private session will take you a step closer to your goals and here are the reasons why:

  • Customized Program - I will tailor a yoga program that is suited to you and your needs. No session is the same as the session will be fully devoted on what you want to get out of your time. A full hour devoted to flexibility, 30 minute meditation, a full hour of movement or stretching are a few good ways to make good use of our time together … it is up to you.

  • Form and Alignment - With a one-on-one session, I am able to focus only on YOU therefore, I am able to guide you step by step to get in and out of a pose properly while providing hands on assists to correct form and alignment. Something you can’t get out of a group class.

  • Achieve your Personal Yoga Goals - Believe it or not, yoga can have an effect on your life both on and off the mat. We all have our reasons for practicing and that journey is between you and yourself. As your teacher, I will provide you with the opportunity to see yourself at a different level both mentally and physically so that it transcends outside your mat as well.

  • Comfort and Convenience - We are all busy and a lot of studios don’t offer a time that is convenient for you, where it is convenient for you. The good thing about a private yoga class is that you can decide when and where to have your lessons with the added benefits of what was mentioned above. In addition, most students are not comfortable sharing their issues with an entire class and even if the teacher is notified, she/he may not be able to modify the entire class for you. In a private setting, each session will be created with the intent that any issues are addressed carefully and mindfully.

  • A Safe Space - Most people often take a private session because participating in a group class is just too intimidating for them. It is normal to feel a little shy or if you start comparing yourself to the other more experienced yogis in the room. You feel that you are being judged or you are not enough. Because of this, your practice suffers altogether … or you don’t practice at all. If you tend to have that mindset then allow me to convince you that taking a few private yoga sessions with me will be well worth the investment and also can help you muster up the courage to participate in a group yoga class.
