The Power of Positive Thinking

The power of our thoughts is incredible.  How we relate to our thoughts has a big impact on how the rest of our day unfolds.  How we let our thoughts influence our beliefs triggers whatever actions we may take.  By taking a few mindful moments, we gain some control over our thoughts so we may break away from our habitual negative responses and instead, take a step back and realize that they are just thoughts.   Thoughts we can also transform into positives.

So let's do this.  For the next hour I invite you to recognize any thoughts that come to mind in any pose - if the thought is negative - I'm not good enough, I'm not flexible enough, I can't do this ...  Then accept and acknowledge that that is what you're thinking.  Then release that thought,  let it go.  Imagine that thought leaving your body.  Finally, name a positive - what actually feels good right now?  Could it be that at least your body is moving, that you tried the pose and you're one step closer?  Today may not be the day but next time, perhaps?

By replacing the thought with something more rational and positive we have the ability to create our own reality.  If we choose to see the good in a situation, we  create more positive circumstances.   Make room only for the positive in your mind.
