Gratitude

DHARMA TALK - NOVEMBER 21, 2017 VERONA YOGA STUDIO

There is no better time of the year to be truly thankful for everything that has happened to us the past year than Thanksgiving.  Of course, there are those other 364 days in the year when we should give thanks as well.  But Thanksgiving, at least to me is like a book end.   It's towards the end of the year so we can look back on the past 11 months.  Last week, I spoke about giving thanks to yourself and making a more conscious effort to be thankful to yourself each day that you wake up.  But today, I invite you to choose to be grateful by showing acts of kindness to others, no matter how little they are.  It could be as simple as opening the door for someone else, helping load groceries,  listening to others speak and not making it about yourself.

When you choose to live a life of gratitude, you’d be amazed at how your life will begin to transform.  Research has shown that the benefits of gratitude impact our social, emotional, and physical well being and cause us to feel a sense of undeniable happiness.  Isn't that nice?  wouldn't you want that?  How about we spend the last few weeks of the year showing gratitude each and every day?  Who's with me?
